NHFT HOLDS BIENNIAL CONVENTION

JUNE 4, 2005

Laura Hainey, NHFT President called the meeting to order and introduced the 24 delegates in attendance.  Laura gave a presentation on the "Year in Review" which covered the activities from the current year.

Delegates unanimously approved to change the name of NHFT to AFT-NH.

Constitutional amendments were presented, discussed and approved.

Laura Hainey was nominated and elected as AFT-NH President for a 4-year term.

Charlie Reynolds was nominated and elected as AFT-NH Vice President/Secretary for a 2-year term.

Margaret Hurd was nominated and elected as AFT-NH Treasurer for a 2-year term.

Delegates beginning at the front table from left to right:

Mary Bowers, Beffa Wyldemoon, Diane Hines from the Hillsboro-Deering Federation of Teachers, William Jack from the Rindge Faculty Federation, Virginia Lunt, Patricia Laws from the Hudson Federation of Teachers and Suzanne Judd from the Timberlane Teachers' Association.

Jackie Gray, Jackie McKnight and Charlie Reynolds from the Nashua Teacher's Union, Mary Simcox-Ayres and Trudi Puffer from the Oyster River Paraprofessionals and Support Staff, Huguette Albert from the Hudson Federation of PSRP's.
