The NHFT
received notification today from the State Department of Education
that the administrative rule governing certification fees was amended
effective January 22, 2005.
The last
fee increase was in 1996.
Individuals
who have already submitted an application (for either certification
or Alternative 4 or 5 Statement of Eligibilities) and have paid
the old fee will have until February 28, 2005 to complete certification
requirements without paying the additional amount. Renewals
are subject to the new fee.
Applications
received in the Bureau of Credentialing after February 4, 2005 will
be subject to the new fee. Teacher education program completers
are being given an additional 3 weeks to allow for processing at
the institution responsible for recommending certification.
