AFT
President
Ed
McElroy
Visited
AFT members at Alpine Grove in Hollis on October 25, 2004
Each month we all
receive the AFT Publication from Washington, DC.The issues of
the day, view points, both pro and con ,are generally presented
to us in it. Each edition also starts off with a communique
from President Ed McElroy.
Last night Ed McElroy came to Nashua to meet
as many of us as he possibly could and to educate us as to why the
AFT has taken the position it has for next weeks national election.
I hope that those who joined us last night felt the warmth and humanity
that is the essence of Ed McElroy.
Ed's parting works to Jackie McKnight, Laura
Hainey and I express what Ed stands for and that is his committment
to the members of the AFT. Ed thanked us repeatedly for inviting
him to visit Nashua and for giving him the opportunity to meet as
many of you as he could. Ed's only regret was that time limitations
did not let him meet every paraprofessional, secretary, food service
worker and teacher there last night.
Thanks to all who took
the time to visit with Ed and to listen to his message.
